Supertweeters aren't just standalone accessories any longer. The Reference 3A Grand Veena ($7500/pair) uses one from Murata...

New from Alan Yun and Silverline Audio is the Prestige single-input integrated amp ($8000), which uses 300B output tubes to produce 7 watts. Silverline also had a couple of new speakers -- the small Minuet ($600/pair) and floorstanding Allegro ($3000/pair).

On the other end of the technology and power spectrums, Pass Labs will introduce its first integrated amp mid-2007. This yet-unnamed model will deliver 150Wpc and cost around $6000.

Two big, beautiful new speakers from Triangle of France are the Magellan Grand Concert (left, $61,999/pair ) and Magellan Concerto ($32,399/pair). You will need high ceilings for the Grand Concert.

On the other end of the size spectrum, the Logitech Z-10 USB-based 2.0 speaker system has surprisingly big sound considering there's no subwoofer. The two-way speaker has its own built-in 30W amplifier, features an LCD display and has an auxiliary input for devices such as an iPod. It is available now for $149.

WireWorld's new Island HDMI cable retails for just $35 for a one-meter length.
