Notes: Because the Heavenly Soundworks FIVE17 loudspeaker is self-powered, the usual measurements of sensitivity, impedance, and electrical phase are not applicable, and so are not included here. (They are relevant only for speakers that require external amplification.) Normally, frequency-response measurements are performed with a 2.83V analog input signal from an amplifier, which is equivalent to 1W into 8 ohms. But since the FIVE17 is self-powered, we fed it a voltage through its analog RCA input that resulted in an average SPL (300Hz to 3kHz) of approximately 81dB at a 2m distance (equivalent to 87dB at 1m, as plotted), to generate the frequency-response charts below.
Except where noted, all the charts below were generating using the Preset 1 setting, which is the default setting for normal listening. Preset 2 and 3 charts have also been added to show how the frequency response changes with those settings.
