When Doug Blackburn is sufficiently impressed by a new pair of speakers, that is saying SOMETHING! "This is my standout room." Doug blurted out after hearing Toy Matinee sound "right" for the first time at the show—and we took notice. Teamed up with Audio Power Industries, VTL, Muse and Cardas Audio, Joseph Audio’s new RM25si loudspeakers are dynamic, detailed and highly musical. The RM25si retail prices are $3,299 to $3,699 per pair depending on finish. There are dual 6.5" aluminum-cone woofers and a 1" silk-dome tweeter. Like all Joseph Audio speakers, the RM25si feature the patented Infinite Slope crossover technology. Brand-new Power Wedge Ultras by API were in use, and the rest of the system was comprised of VTL’s TL5.5 preamplifier, the VTL MB185 amplifiers, the Muse Model 8 DVD/CD transport and Muse Model 296 DAC. Cardas Audio Golden Cross and Neutral Reference cables were used throughout.
