To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Dynaudio
has released a
new floorstanding speaker...,

"Just what I'm looking
for!" is what Doug Schneider blurted out when he spied the shoebox-shaped NAD C715
($499), which combines a 25Wpc AM/FM receiver with a CD player. It also has USB recording
and playback functionality. Just add speakers. [www.nadelectronics.com]

A big step up from the NAD C715 is
the Pioneer Elite X-Z9 ($1799), a stereo-only system that combines an advanced
receiver/source (CD/SACD playback, XM/Sirius radio capabilities, and an iPod dock) with
speakers that use a
coaxial driver. The unit's amp is said to be "tuned" for the speakers.

Two new HD DVD/Blu-ray Disc combo players
debuted. Above is the Samsung BDUP-5000 ($999)...

...while here is the LG BH200 ($999). Both
boast "true" support of the two high-resolution video formats available today.

The McIntosh MT10 turntable ($8000) features a custom McIntosh tonearm
and moving-coil cartridge. The MT10 connects
to a phono preamp like any other component -- via rear-mounted RCA jacks. What's the meter on the front for?

Two new turntables at CEDIA prove that vinyl's
resurgence is not a myth. The Cambridge Audio TT50 ($679) comes complete with tonearm and
an Audio-Technica moving-magnet cartridge. The 'table and 'arm are manufactured by
Pro-Ject.
