...the press room bustled with
post-breakfast chatter.

Paul Barton was on hand to promote his new
Synchrony speaker line. Expect to see reviews of the PSB Synchrony One
($4500/pair) and Synchrony Two B
($1500/pair) on SoundStage! Network sites. [www.psbspeakers.com]

We ran into this ragged character -- the
SoundStage! Network's Paradise Correspondent, Jim Saxon -- in the Paradigm booth. Jim
kindly led us to the Paramount Cafe, where we ate lunch and Jim drank beer.

Marc Mickelson looks the largest OmniGuide
Mirage has ever made. We'd like to see the speaker it's used with. [www.miragespeakers.com]

Magnepan used THE Show to unveil another new
concept: three-channel stereo. In addition to a pair of MG1.6es and a CC3 center-channel
speaker, Magnepan used a single MGMC1 on the ceiling to create a wall-to-wall,
floor-to-ceiling soundstage with stereo material. The signal sent to the center-channel
speakers is mono. [www.magnepan.com]
